While many blogging software programs offer a variety of templates that make blogging easier than designing, blogs can also be highly customized by bloggers who have some programming skills. Again, this is important because failure to use a layout that meets these criteria can result in blog visitors not choosing to view the blog further because the layout is confusing or undesirable.

Bloggers have many options when it comes to choosing the fonts to use in their blog. These options include the selected font, text size and text color.
