Blogging and Website Building Basics Keywords Part Two Introduction
Well, now we know that content is king. And of course since we're building our blogs (remember that blogs are short for weblogs - which is their "formal and official" name), most of our information is going to be "unique" and "original". ۔ Yet from time to time, since we are only human, and since we cannot "create" as much information as possible, we will copy the information from other websites. That's cool. There is nothing wrong with that, unless you decide that "copy" and / or "linking" are better and stop writing anything.
Now let me make this clear. If you are offering a service to people, where your main job is to provide links to other places where people can get information, in other words you are a repository where people come to get links, because You have already done all the research. Okay fine. Because what you lose in content, you create in "I Balls" and "Hits". Remember that this is the ultimate result of good search engine listings. More hits - more eyeballs - more people. And content is not the only parameter that search engines see. Not with a long shot.
This is an important point to keep in mind. Everything we'll talk about, every way, from content to emails to lists, (my most disliked word in English - whatever it is - see my post on that word in my blog), There is only one purpose in mind. . To constantly build and maintain your website "Hits". To make sure you have a growing "fan" club "encouragement" because of the service you are offering, come back. So please differentiate between the ultimate goal and the methods. Content (discussed in our first article) is a way toward the goal of getting a good position on search engines, and the goal is for people to use and come to your website or blog, and talk about "buzz." Make it. This. (We'll talk about that later in our series.)
Let's go back to the content for a moment. Here we are talking about something that all authors know and are aware of. Text, words, phrases. Original, unique text.
So in order to get on our fair logical path, we will now focus on the "text" and what it means. Which brings us to the topic of "Keywords". Before we just say what they are and their importance or their complete vanity and insignificance nowadays (and this is for discussion), let us explain the keywords more carefully.
If you have a website that sells hair beauty aids, you may want to sell your writing material that you are selling. Obviously if you write about the differences between the different models of dishwashers, it will not relate to the "theme" and content of your site. So you will write articles around the supply of your hair. You will write articles about good hair care, how to dye your hair, how to get rid of split ends, how often to shampoo and so on
Our Magic Hair Website is called "Hair Is Not Forever", and it's on www.hairisnotforever.com (I have no idea if there is such a site, please don't hit this link! ) But for now this is our site and we will keep it as we go. There is also a hairisnotforever blog. We will call this blog "SilkyFairHair" and we will name our owner at blogger.com for our example, Mr. Nar Hair. So now we have the following:
1. Website - Hair Forever @ www.hairisnotforever.com
2. Blog - SilkyFairHair @ http://norhair.bl.com (This URL is imaginary)
These names are important and so are the URLs. (URL stands for Universal Resource Locator). So keep these articles in mind as we go through these articles, especially when it comes to the importance of finding the right name.
So Mr. Noor Hair and his wife Mrs. Purple Hair work together. They set up a site, get everything they need to sell it, write some articles about hair and sit and wait for people to come and knock on their "virtual" door. As we say in Hebrew, "Boker Tov" (which literally means "Good Morning"), or as you say in English, "Knock". Good morning! Is there a house? "
Well, hair couples know the key words. That's why they make articles in which the word hair is in every sentence (or bald). But ball is the name of the game. They make sure their content is genuine, and once they've written two HTML pages of hair articles, their cousin graphic artist (who is bald) advertises hair products. Strategically placed around and now they think they are!
Wow! Not from a long shot! And this is where it becomes depressing for the disorganized and the uninitiated.
Let's deal with the "keyword" problem.
Keywords are like hints or categories if you want. The keyword is something that search engines will find and verify (in our time), to use as one of your site listing methods.
The keywords we refer to are in two different and completely different places. First in the site page header.
This is known as the "meta" tags section. We'll deal with meta tags in a different article, but we'll just say that these are the keywords that most search engines search for when they visit your site (along with their "bots").
An example meta tag for a keyword on our site might look like this:
On meta tags we will talk about these keywords and meta tags again, but for now there are some keywords that will be in the meta tag.
When search engine technology first became popular and meta tags were introduced, keyword tags were important. Search engines look up keywords in meta tags and assume what the site is about and list the site under those keywords. It was immediately caught, and humans, being cunning devils, started compiling lists of keywords that had nothing to do with their sites in order to drive traffic to the site. (Remember - the final result is oh so important: hits and eyeballs)
So porn sites, in particular, will use keywords like "hair", "technology", etc. in their meta tags, adopting it as another "fool the engine" technique, and giving the site a harmless name and sound. Will give, more traffic.
So in a never ending war the search engines got caught, and did some things. According to their algorithm, they deprecated the importance of keywords in meta tags, unless the content on the site actually matched the keywords. Of course, that wasn't enough because pornographic sites would put "real" content around their stuff. I will give you a real example which I find ridiculous, but it is very serious.
In one of my posts on my blog, you can see my bio which was picked up by search engines. The other day I received an email from one of my old flames which said "I'm nervous. I googled you under Ted Grass Writer, and you linked to a site about Tissues. Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like Al that sounds crap to me, Looks like Al that sounds crap to me, Looks like Al that sounds crap to me, Looks like Al that sounds crap to me (There is no URL here as I do not want. For obvious reasons to promote this site.) Tear up to keep ads around. UGH! But you see how clever people are!
(We're not going to talk about "splags" here - which means "spam blogs". But keep that in mind.)
Well, what happens now - not in theory but in practice.
Two scenarios:
1. Your meta tag contains keywords (and you should have them!) The little search engine "boot" (this is a software program whose job is to navigate the Internet, it never sleeps nor eats) And includes them all. Pornographic sites too !, and picks up information on all sites so that information can be categorized.
Our website comes to Hair's Not Forever and reads the keywords on the page. Then this little boot creates a snapshot of the web page. The algorithm then matches the keywords in the meta tags to the text and content on your site. (Remember search engines are not "seeing", they are not visual (men are visually oriented, not search engines!) So graphics are not taken into account unless you use alt tags.) Algorithms become more and more sophisticated over time. And they search for content, keywords, phrases, etc. (Remember the original content!)
2. Your meta tag contains no keywords so the engine only sees your content.
So the statistics of our happy couple are correct, say the word hair at least three times in each sentence. no! Do not do this. Excessive use of keywords is a red flag for search engines and you will be penalized for it! It should be used and used frequently, but do not overuse it.
Now when you google hair products using the word "balding", the search engine has the keyword, and based on one million parameters it decides the position for that particular keyword. Will, hairisnotforever, and feeds it.
So what the hell did our couple figure. We will also sell mascara, and they put image ads and the word mascara in their keywords, without any content for it. Well then www.hairisnotforever.com will probably be listed as the last one for anyone looking for "mascara".
So the formula for this tutorial is:
"Content + Keywords in content + Keywords in meta tags"
